Daicee Sorensen, CSW, joined Northeastern Counseling Center in 2026. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Southern Utah University, graduating with a double minor in Family Services and Criminal Justice and received her Master of Social Work from Idaho State University with a forensic emphasis. Daicee is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and she uses a blend of Humanistic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed practices to meet each client where they are. Daicee’s passion is helping children, adolescents, and families discover their strengths while navigating life’s challenges in a safe, supportive environment. She strives to create a space where every person feels heard, valued, and empowered to find and trust their own voice as they build confidence, resilience, and meaningful change. Her experience includes working with children in foster care, youth in residential group homes, and adolescents involved in secure care and detention settings. She has also advocated for families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and facilitated caregiver support groups, experiences that have deepened her commitment to compassionate care, resilience, and community connection. Daicee believes healing happens through authentic connection, self-discovery, and practical skill-building. Her goal is to help every client feel understood, build on their unique strengths, and leave each session feeling more confident, capable, and empowered than when they arrived. Daicee is English speaking and provides services as a culturally trained provider. She offers covered services via telehealth for Medicaid members. Daicee is accepting new clients.
